Fire Safety Inspections
The Fire Prevention Bureau inspects all commercial and special hazard occupancies on an annual basis to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and codes. Inspections are conducted by trained personnel throughout the year.
Residential Home Assessments
The Barrington-Countryside Fire Protection District is offering a FREE Residential Fire Safety Program. We are asking for your partnership to Help Us Find You in an Emergency. Locating your home during an emergency saves precious minutes. The BCFPD would like to visit your home to check accessibility, visible addresses/grid signs, and check any Knox Box keys on the premises to ensure they are working.
A typical visit would last from 15 to 20 minutes and the homeowner must be present. No fines or citations will be issued.
Fire Department Permits
Permits for open burns, fireworks, fire suppression systems, or any questions for other permits needed with the district will be handled by our Fire Prevention Bureau.
