BCFPD Honors Local Towing Company for Commitment to Service, ‘Cooperative Spirit’
Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District officials honored a local towing company for its role in helping the Department achieve its organizational mission to provide “Excellence in Service,” during the September 17th meeting of the BCFPD Board of Trustees.
Fire Chief Jim Kreher (far left) presented a commemorative plaque to D&R Towing owner Gene Young, and Dillon and Danny Tousey (l to r).
The plaque’s inscription thanks D&R “for their support and cooperative spirit which ensures that our mission of providing Excellence in Service is achieved on a daily basis.”
D&R Towing’s relationship with the fire service goes back decades, according to Assistant Fire Chief Scott Motisi.
“This award was an opportunity to recognize a local business that has always been supportive of our commitment to serving the community,” he explains. “Many of the vehicles used by our firefighters for automobile extrication training are provided by D&R Towing at no charge. D&R also delivers exceptional service when recovering vehicles involved in an accident within our jurisdiction and has hosted regional extrication sessions at their location.”
D&R Towing is located at 27935 W. Commercial Avenue, Lake Barrington.
